This modular kit was created as part of my final postgraduate group project for the Game Art and Animation program at Seneca College entitled Site 57: Celestial Ruins. This original design was meant to be rotated eight times to create a grand circular cathedral room. Initial modeling was done in Maya. Destruction was applied in Houdini. Because the modular pieces were so large in scale, I chose to use a channel packing workflow using Substance 3D Painter to apply masks while using tileable textures in Unreal Engine 5.1. This allowed for a very high texel density across all pieces without noticeable textural repetition.
